It is our job, and our pleasure, to make sure that every customer leaves with the right bike, properly fitted for them, and the knowledge to properly use and maintain the equipment. Chainwheel has never been, is not, and I hope, never will be, the local bike shop that is willing to trade lower service for a lower price. While we never mark products above a manufacturers recommended retail price, we strive to earn the marked price through superior service rather than mark the product down a couple bucks so that we won’t have to install it or show you how to use it. That’s just not our style!

 

Every face at Chainwheel is a smiling one, and that’s because we love what we do, and that love shows through our work every single day. At Chainwheel, we are always more than happy to answer questions and share knowledge with our customers, not because it’s our job, but because we enjoy being a part of someone else’s success!

 

Maybe you are training for your very first triathlon or your 20th 100-miler, chances are somebody at Chainwheel has some helpful advice for you. We don’t like to think of ourselves as just a shop that sells bicycles, because we are so much more than that! We offer solutions to any problem related to riding a bike. Any of our long-time customers, and even some of our new ones, can tell you that Chainwheel is a place to go get your questions answered by someone who actually knows what they are talking about and is happy to share.

 

Along with our stellar service staff, we are known far and wide for being off the front when it comes to fitting the rider to his machine. We pride ourselves in this often misunderstood area and know that even though bike sizes are pretty standard across the industry, the way we sit on them hardly ever is. Whether it is an existing bike, a shiny new one, or getting lined out on a made-to-order custom machine, we are The Shop when it comes to getting your position dialed.

 

We can’t think of a good reason to ride a bicycle in the first place if you are hurting every time you saddle up. Being sore because it is a new activity? Absolutely. But we work with a lot of riders who never get to the point of being comfortable on their bikes. What is even more surprising is how much people are willing to suffer and spend before they give up in frustration or have us take a look at them. Some of our best hero moments are when we see these same riders out and about and they are just golden.

 

Our fit philosophy and practice is simple. We guarantee our fits. If you don’t like something about your set up, then we want to know about it. Bicycle fit is a collaborative process, and we have learned an invaluable amount by hearing back from our clients on what works in the wheel world.
